We're Ooak Data

Ooak Data turns company workflows into training data for AI agents.

Frontier labs can train models to reason. They cannot train them to work: navigating a real company's Slack threads, half-finished Notion docs, contradictory Jira tickets, and permission boundaries. That requires real enterprise data, and you cannot synthesize it. You have to source it.

We plug into enterprise tools, anonymize everything into a structurally identical digital twin, and generate reinforcement-learning environments with expert-level tasks calibrated against frontier models.

We're a YC S26 company with signed deals from major labs, a team across Paris and San Francisco. We are scaling delivery aggressively over the next twelve months.

The offer

📍 Location: San Francisco, in person

🕐 Start: ASAP

💼 Contract: Full-time US employee

💰 Compensation: $120-150K base + variable at quota + equity

👥 Team: Direct report to the CEO

✅ Your missions

• Own the full sales cycle with frontier labs and agent companies, from prospecting through close and expansion.
• Build pipeline across large, high-potential accounts, with a net-new focus.
• Run multi-threaded sales processes across research, post-training and executive stakeholders.
• Diagnose customer challenges in agent training data, RL environments and evals: which workflows, which tools, what task difficulty, what volume.
• Partner with our engineering and delivery teams to scope and land deals.
• Maintain strong forecasting discipline and pipeline hygiene.
• Bring market signal back to the team: which environments, domains and data types buyers want next.

🔍 Who we're looking for

• 6+ years of quota-carrying experience in complex, technical sales (AI/ML, data infrastructure or technical services).
• Proven track record closing six- to eight-figure deals with custom scope and usage terms.
• Comfortable selling to technical personas: ML researchers, post-training leads, AI founders.
• A track record of building pipeline from zero: early at a startup, or opened a new market.
• Based in the SF Bay Area (or relocating), and keen to be out in the ecosystem in person.
• Works well async with a team 9 hours ahead; writes clearly.

The extras that make the difference

• Existing relationships at frontier labs or agent-focused startups.
• Background in ML or data workflows, or at a data vendor (Scale, Surge, Mercor, Turing, Snorkel…).
• Experience at a high-growth or category-creating company.
• Understanding of data licensing, privacy and de-identification.
