CrowdStrike Earns Top UK Government Assurance for Incident Response, as Attack Speeds Climb
CrowdStrike says it has been assured at the Enhanced Level of the UK National Cyber Security Centre's Cyber Incident Response (CIR) scheme, which it describes as the highest level of incident response assurance the UK government offers. The Enhanced Level is designed for the most serious incidents, such as attacks that disrupt energy, water or financial services. It builds on the Standard Level assurance CrowdStrike announced earlier this year. This is the company's own announcement, so the claims reflect its own account.
The company links the milestone to a tougher threat environment. Its 2025 European Threat Landscape Report found that 22% of victims named on dedicated leak sites are based in Europe, the second most targeted region after North America. Its 2026 Global Threat Report says attacks by AI-enabled adversaries rose 89% year-over-year, and the fastest breakout time fell to just 27 seconds. Its 2026 Threat Hunting Report found that in the first half of 2026, 88% of observed exploitation of vulnerabilities with a public proof of concept happened within 48 hours of release.
According to CrowdStrike, all NCSC-assured providers must show core skills in digital forensics, network traffic inspection and malware analysis. The Enhanced Level requires expertise against the most capable adversaries in large, complex environments. The company adds that Forrester and IDC have named it a Leader in incident response services.
